“Progress means getting nearer to the place you want to be. And if you have taken a wrong turning, then to go forward does not get you any nearer. If you are on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; and in that case the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive man. We have all seen this when doing arithmetic. When I have started a sum the wrong way, the sooner I admit this and go back and start again, the faster I shall get on.” -C.S. Lewis
I would like to add something to this great writer and man of God’s words of incredible wisdom. Turning back to the right road also means leaving behind everything you found on the wrong road. Erasing the incorrect numbers in the equasion is the only way to come to the correct conclusion. Putting aside all the things you found while on the wrong road is the only way to finding your way back. Retracing your steps if you will. God is the ultimate guide in keeping you on the right path and in seeking His wisdom and guidance, you will find where you’re meant to be. He will not remove the obstacles for you, in fact He allows them to be there, but never too big to climb over or go around, with His help.
When you come to a fork, dont listen to outside influences. This will always pull you down the wrong path. Let God be your compass and surround yourself with the ones you know only want the best for your life, through Him. No one is perfect, but in realizing we’re on the wrong road and turning back, we abandon all that led us astray and see which path to avoid in the future. I say these words to everyone who reads them and takes them to heart. Leave the past on the wrong path with whatever/whomever led you there and turn to God for the right one. And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. Matt. 18:9.
With all the love I possess,
